Hi. I have a blackberry, but i can’t get the contract.
But i really want to download windows live messenger, facebook & twitter and be able to use them without a data plan,
what can i do?

You could use WiFi to get acces to browser, windows live messenger, blackberry messenger and other downloaded programs like twitter, facebook etc. But talk to your carrier about that because it doesn’t precisely work in all countries.

Trying to figure out Twitter, but I don’t see the practical difference between twitter and just updating your status on Facebook.

This is exactly what I had been thinking until I got sick of seeing all of that extra crap people do on facebook. I don’t want to hear about relationship status, see every picture ever uploaded, get game requests, get poked, or any other stupid, unnecessary feature they have on there. Twitter is much simpler.

That’s just me, though. If you enjoy all of that then there’s no point in using twitter since it is the same thing as updating your facebook, just without the rest of facebook.

I have a twitter account named "PetroDrops". It has a few number of Geologists, Petroleum engineers, editors as its followers. I would like to interact with them through the messages service. I am not able to understand how do I begin interacting and put forward my questions. Please provide me with some tips.

Well if you can simply do @theirname and than the message.

You can also go to their page and click on the message button (in new twitter interface) or you can click on the mention(theirname) option.

Well, since learning that only one person can tweet into a Twitter feed, I guess Twitter is out of the question for this application. If anyone knows of a service that would allow *everyone* on the distribution to contribute, please let us know about it! Thanks!!

setup a twitter account for the neighborhood. Get the neighborhood to follow the account. The only problem is that only one person would be able to post (person who owns the account).

Since I don’t text often, I have the 250 txt per month plan with att. If I submit my cell # to Twitter, will I be able to txt a tweet to Twitter without getting any updates from other people. Can I just tweet but not have twitter txt me with updates the people I follow post? Will the txt still count as part of my plan or will it be a different charge? Hope my questions are clear.

Yes, you can text a tweet to Twitter without getting updates from those you are following. When you select to follow someone, make sure you select "Device Updates: Off".
This should prevent you from receiving updates via text, but should allow you to send in your personal update via text.

And the text should be apart of your plan.

I already checked Yahoo Messenger and it’s showing that Twitter is not linked to my Yahoo Messenger but it still showing all my updates from twitter. I want my twitter updates to stay with my twitter followers. And I don’t recall linking them in the first place. Help please.

It may be that you are connected to Twitter through your Pulse page.

Here is how to stop these updates:

TO STOP YOUR OWN UPDATES APPEARING:

Click on "Messenger" in the top left hand corner of the Messenger Pane.

Click on "Manage Updates I Broadcast".

This will take you to your Profile page. (Now called Pulse).

UNTICK the box "Share my Updates".

Click on "Save" at the bottom of the page.

You can also choose which Updates you want to share from your Pulse page. To do this, click on the "Settings" tab. Then click on "Manage Updates" under "Updates". If you want to share some of them, TICK the box "Share my Updates". Choose the ones you want to share and then click on "Save" at the bottom of the page.

Please note that these updates sometimes take a couple of days to clear.

Hi, I’m trying to create a youtube or twitter theme using photoshop, but I don’t understand how you get it to remain sized the same for every different sized monitor/resolution. For instance if I make the theme in 1680×1050 res, but someone using a 17" monitor sees it, it’s different. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Technically you have asked a best question that is why I am answering.

Twitter size is different and little bit tricky to adjust the size while youtube is easy. First twitter size check my twitter if you have account.

Now about youtube design,
You should have an image in proper size. There are two ways to use background first to design yourself like mine check below

size is 1800×3500

second you should make an image in the following size,
1400×1200
1200×2000
1400×1050
1269×1700

Actually these above sizes depend what kind of theme you are going to use. But I suggest 1400×1200 and 1200×2000 will be fine. Just one point to note. As these sizes are larger and youtube background allow only 256 KB.
As you have showed your concern about different size of monitor technically that is right. I got wide monitor and use it therefore I do not know how my youtube design will be displayed. If you are right in that case on normal screen there should be left and right space. I did not get any complain from anyone regarding design. I have helped people and they are using same sizes as I have mentioned above.

Hey my cousin is curious and wants to create a Twitter page for his company, but he doesn’t know how to do it. He doesn’t have a twitter account either. It’s super easy. Just go to Twitter.com, Click on Get Started- Join, then choose your Username and password. Once your account is created, click on Settings to customize your Profile page.
